These Analysts Boost Their Forecasts On PayPal Following Upbeat Q2 Earnings

PayPal Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ:PYPL) on Tuesday reported upbeat second-quarter results.

The payments company, which owns Venmo, reported revenue of $8.68 billion, up 5% year over year and ahead of the analyst consensus estimate of $8.47 billion. Adjusted earnings came in at $1.38 per share, topping estimates of $1.28, according to Benzinga Pro.

The reported acquisition interest from private equity firm Advent and payments company Stripe also remains in focus for investors.

“Our transformation is well underway, and we’re executing with discipline on our priorities to deliver durable, profitable growth over the long term,” CEO Enrique Lores said.

Looking ahead, PayPal expects third-quarter adjusted earnings to decline by a low-single-digit percentage. The company updated its full-year 2026 guidance and now expects adjusted earnings of about $5.38 per share, compared with its previous outlook for a low-single-digit decline to slightly positive growth.

PayPal shares rose 0.2% to trade at $58.40 on Wednesday.

These analysts made changes to their price targets on PayPal following earnings announcement.

  • Baird analyst Colin Sebastian maintained the stock with a Neutral and raised the price target from $50 to $57.
  • Barclays analyst Ramsey El-Assal maintained the stock with an Equal-Weight rating and raised the price target from $55 to $57.
  • Keefe, Bruyette & Woods analyst Sanjay Sakhrani maintained the stock with an Outperform rating and raised the price target from $55 to $70.
  • Mizuho analyst Dan Dolev maintained the stock with a Neutral and raised the price target from $50 to $60.
  • Macquarie analyst Paul Golding maintained the stock with a Neutral and raised the price target from $50 to $62.
  • BMO Capital analyst Andrew Bauch maintained the stock with a Market Perform and raised the price target from $46 to $56.
